What a great gift idea!

Hello everyone - Leadership Hudson is currently offering a couple of fun Hudson-themed gift opportunities available this holiday season.

First, we worked with local businesses and civic organizations to create a 2025 version of Hudson-opoly: A game that focuses on our town! It makes a great holiday gift for a local Hudson fan. It is currently being sold at the Learned Owl and the Hudson Visitor's Center (27 East Main Street). Consider stopping by during the Christkindlmarkt this weekend; we’d love to see you! All proceed benefit the non-profit Leadership Hudson program.

Secondly, you can now enter to win a family tour INSIDE the Hudson Clock Tower with City Manager (and Leadership Hudson alumnus) Thom Sheridan! Raffle tickets are for sale currently at the Hudson Visitor Center (27 East Main Street), including this weekend. The raffle drawing will take place on Monday December 22. All raffle ticket proceeds also support Leadership Hudson.

We appreciate any help spreading the word! Thanks for your support!

Here is an inspiring story of a nurse who climbs a 1,000 foot ladder in Uganda to vaccinate children, thanks to the Gates Foundation and the Rotary Club of Kampala. Rotarians around the world are truly "People of Action." Be sure to watch the video in this article.

On Bill Gates's website he writes about the people he meets, the books he's reading, and what he's learning and working on. Come join the conversation!

Our next meeting is Wednesday, March 19, at 11:45 at Lager & Vine. Fran Stewart, PhD, is a Cleveland-area writer and researcher. She co-authored In Their Path: A Grandmother's 519-Mile Underground Railroad Walk with Joan Southgate and helped found Restore Cleveland Hope, a group dedicated to preserving the Cozad-Bates House and celebrating Cleveland's antislavery history. A former journalist, Fran now writes primarily on the topics of economic development, workforce skills and public policy. In 2017, Fran walked the Camino in Spain and came away for that amazing experience wanting to encourage others to take a walk through Ohio's communities and rich history.
