Hudson Daybreak Rotary is looking for host families for a remarkable student from Uganda who will be joining Hudson High School as a senior for the 2026-27 school year. He speaks fluent English and is ready to become part of your family.

Hosting is a 3–4 month commitment. You provide a room, meals, and a place to belong. Families who've done it describe it as life-altering, and most want to do it again.

Any family can host: couples, families with kids, empty nesters, retirees, single parents. No Rotary membership required. Just an open door.

Last week, the Hudson Daybreak Club, in partnership with the Noon Club, hosted the annual Rotary Honors Breakfast—and it was amazing. With an inspiring keynote from Russell Nicolet, catering by YMCA Camp St. Croix, and a room full of outstanding students and their families, it was a morning to remember.

A highlight every year is awarding four $2,000 scholarships to local students. Congratulations to our deserving students who received the Dick Whitcomb Community Service Scholarships and the Global Awareness Scholarships.

Our Club is always inspired by the achievements and dedication of these students. Events like this reflect our commitment to enhancing opportunities for youth and building a stronger community for all.

Thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising efforts, including Taste of the Valley. Your generosity makes it possible to offer scholarships, contribute $2 million in grants over the years, and carry out impactful projects throughout our community.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Today at our meeting, we had two fantastic presenters talking about the safety of our water: Patty Schrank, Water Resource Specialist from St. Croix County, and Tara Greiman from the Wisconsin Farmers Union.

Nearly half of county residents rely on private wells—many without realizing the potential exposure to contaminants for their families and pets. Tara and Patty shared the risks and practical steps you can take to protect your water.
