An update on the skunk with distemper on Platt Way. Animal Control will not be out today. They will be back tomorrow to set traps for the skunk.

Be advised that we are monitoring a skunk that appears to have distemper in the 600 and 700 block of Platt Way. McLean County Animal Control has been notified and we are awaiting their response. It would be best to avoid walking or being outside in that area.

It has been reported to the Hudson Police Department that individuals are operating snowmobiles on public property, in the detention basin adjacent to Friendship Park. It is a violation of the Village of Hudson ordinances to operate a snowmobile on ANY public property owned by the village. This of course includes all parks and detention basins. A violation for a first time offense is $250.00. Please abide by the ordinances of our village and avoid an expensive fine!

Due to the unfavorable weather predictions for Saturday, Holly Jolly and the Hudson Police have decided to postpone the Golf Cart Parade until this Sunday, December 15th beginning at 5pm. Santa will also be present in the parade. Participants, please join us for line up along front street at Hudson PD around 4:30pm.

There has been discussion on social media concerning a vehicle with bright lights driving through our community late at night and the early morning hours. The Hudson Police Department stopped this vehicle and discovered that it is a Pantagraph delivery person. There is no threat to the community from this person.
