Our friends at the Hudson Massachusetts Police Department will be out on the Assabet River Rail Trail this Saturday, August 8, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM promoting safe riding for all. Hudson Police Officers and Community Service Officers (CSOs) will be handing out free bike and e-bike safety guides with information on:

✅ Massachusetts e-bike laws
✅ Safe riding tips
✅ Trail etiquette
✅ How we can all help keep our shared paths safe

Our Rail Trails, both the MCRT and the ARRT, provide safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for both passive and active recreation. Whether you enjoy walking, biking, bird‑watching, walking the dog (or petting all of the dogs!) or simply spending time outdoors, these trails connect people of all ages and abilities to nature, to each other, and to the broader community. Rail Trails are truly for everyone offering opportunities to explore, exercise, relax, and enjoy these shared resources. Let's share them together!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the official opening of the 7.6-mile Mass. Central Rail Trail Sudbury-Hudson segment. Special shoutout to Select Board Member Patrick Thayer for representing Hudson and giving a terrific speech! The Planning and Community Development Department is hard at work with our state and local partners advancing the design of the remaining 2.6 miles of the Mass. Central Rail Trail through Hudson.
