Happy Thursday everyone! Just wanted to share some bullet points of my candidacy. If you receive a card from me or from one of my enthusiastic family members you will notice that my platform runs on 3 very specific and important points.

1. Families first- this is all about us as a community. This is not just about a small group of people. This is your family and this is my family which makes it about “us”.

2. Fiscal responsibility- I believe in spending money in such a way that invests into the community with a plan to be intentional about what it is being spent on. This could be anything from sidewalks to parks to zoning. We need to remember just because one person sees a vision doesn’t mean everyone shares that same vision. However, that also doesn’t mean we can’t come to a similar solution that shares values between 2 people.

3. Community engagement- This covers both other bullet points fully. We can’t be successful and grow strategically if we don’t engage in what the community as a whole wants and needs. I can be your voice. I believe I live here for the reasons you do: a great location close to a great city with great people.

A little about myself...

I grew up on the east side of the state in a small town called Bad Axe. I made my way over here after earning my business degree at Northern Michigan University where I met my wife, Sara. We currently reside in Jamestown with 2 active boys, Kieren (8) and Benjamin (3). My passion is mountain biking and community, both of which has brought me to where I am. And for the record, I will admit that I love Lions football.

I also serve on the Jamestown Parks and Recreation committee. While doing so, my love for being involved and sharing change has ignited a fire inside of me to go one step further; to run for Trustee of Jamestown Charter Township.

I like to think we made this place home for the same reason everyone else has. We like the community, the togetherness, and the small town atmosphere that is still within range of city culture. Jamestown is our home and I value what you value, including strategic investment in our community that stays the course for our love of this place that we call home.

Please vote in the primary and be sure to check that box that says Kerry Bairski. We’re in this together!
