The road crews will be applying dust oil starting around 8pm on Friday, May 15 to sections of various roads throughout the township.

The Penn Township office will be closed April 10-19. The Secretary will be back in office on April 20.

The monthly Penn Township meetings will be held the 3rd Wednesday of the month. If we need to change for any reason it will be advertised in the Sun-Gazette and also on here.

The December meeting will be held this evening (12/18) 7 pm at the Mount Zion Lutheran Church Social Hall.

At the August 21st monthly meeting the supervisors will be meeting with architect to discuss possible building project. The supervisors will also be discussing emergency services coverage for the township. The meeting will begin at 6:30.

There will be road work starting on Crawley Hill Rd today and will be continuing throughout the next week.

‼️Attention Residents‼️

We have received several inquiries regarding ambulance memberships and donation requests from local emergency service departments.

If you have received a request for a donation or ambulance membership from the Lairdsville Volunteer Fire Department, please verify that your residence falls within their service coverage area before making a donation or enrolling in a membership.

At the moment, Penn Township is covered by FOUR local volunteer departments. Hughesville, Lairdsville, Muncy Valley, and Picture Rocks.

The Penn Township office will be closed until September 30, 2024.

At the July meeting the supervisors passed an ordinance to issue permits for the usage of ATV/UTV on township roads. This is pursuant to 75 PA C.S.A. 7722. ATV/UTV must be insured and registered. The permit applications are now available by contacting township secretary via email at [email protected] or calling 570-584-3365 and leaving a message to include name and complete mailing address. DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS POST REQUESTING APPLICATION TO BE MAILED. Once the application is completed the sticker will be issued and will need to be displayed on the ATV/UTV. The cost for the remainder of 2024 will be $10 but in 2025 will be $15 and payable by check or money order made out to Penn Township. Penn Township does not control the actions of any law enforcement agency and that the permit to operate an ATV/UTV on a township road does not supersede the laws of the Commonwealth of PA.

The road crews will be applying dust oil tonight starting at 8 (pending weather) to sections on the following roads: Barto Hollow, upper end of Foust Hill, Fague Hill, Ganderback, Dark Hollow and Huddy Hill

Road crews will be applying dust control to various locations on the following roads starting tonight at 8pm:
Lakeside Drive, Spook Hollow, Hess Hill, Rishel Hollow, Dark Hollow, Holmes Hollow, Janet Hock and Logue Hill
