Hughson Police Chief Brock Dias recently organized a special art challenge for Hughson Elementary School students from preschool through 3rd grade, inviting them to share their creative interpretations of law enforcement through artwork.

We are proud to recognize the talented winners, who each received two gift cards — one to Target and one to Cold Stone!

Thank you to all of the students, families, and school staff who helped make this such a success. We truly enjoyed seeing the creativity and positive community spirit reflected in each piece of art. 💙

Update on Hughson High School Lockdown

Hughson High School has been cleared and determined to be safe. Law enforcement personnel thoroughly secured the campus and confirmed there are no active threats to students, staff, or the community. Deputies will remain in the area as a precaution. All roadway closures in the area have been reopened.

We appreciate the community’s patience, cooperation, and understanding while deputies and emergency personnel worked to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Community Advisory

Hughson High School is currently on lockdown following threats from an unknown individual. Both Hughson Elementary School and Ross Middle School are also on lockdown due to their proximity. Law enforcement personnel are on scene actively working to ensure there are no threats to students, staff, or the campus. At this time, students and staff are on lockdown.

Roadways near Hughson High School will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
