Washington County is collecting gently used outdoor gear for a swap in September. Drop off items you no longer want or need at an Environmental Center, located in Forest Lake and Woodbury, through September 12.

Examples of items accepted include:
• Camping accessories.
• Hiking accessories.
• Fishing accessories. (No lead items.)
• Hunting accessories. (No weapons or clothing.)
• Bicycling accessories.

The City of Lino Lakes is starting construction on an extension of Otter Lake Road which will intersect with Elmcrest Avenue and Heritage Parkway in Hugo. A new trail is also a part of the project.

Otter Lake Road Extension Project.

Beginning this week (August 10th), construction will begin on the Otter Lake Road Extension Project. The project will extend Rosemary Way to connect with Otter Lake Road and extend Otter Lake Road north, ultimately creating a connection to Heritage Parkway N in Hugo.

Work on the south end of the project is anticipated to be completed in 2026, with the remainder of the project continuing in 2027, weather permitting.

Otter Lake Road, Rosemary Way, and driveway access will remain open during construction, although short delays may occur as equipment moves through the area.

Local businesses in the area will remain open and accessible during construction. Please continue to support them throughout the project!
