Town of Deerpark (Orange County, NY) The Town of Deerpark, the second largest township in Orange County, New York. Gary Spears, Town Sup The Neversink River flows through the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 67.9 square miles (175.8 km²), of which, 66.4 square miles (172.0 km²) of it is land and 1.5 square miles (3.8 km²) of it (2.14%) is water. It is considered the seconded largest town in area in Orange County, NY. The southwest town line is the border of Pennsylvania, marked by the Delaware River. The western and northern to

wn lines are the border of Sullivan County, New York. The city of Port Jervis is located in the southern corner of the town, and a small portion of the town borders on Montague Township, New Jersey. US Route 209 parallels the course of the Neversink River. The Hawk's Nest scenic overlook along New York State Route 97 offers views of the Delaware River. Interstate 84 passes through the southern portion of town near the New Jersey state line.

Part-time Assessor’s Clerk , Town of Deerpark, Orange County NY
Brief Job Description:
Entry level position involving routine clerical tasks performed in accordance with
established policies and procedures under the supervision of the Assessor. Specific duties
vary with the needs of the department. General knowledge of office practices, equipment
and computer; ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions; clerical
aptitude, and accuracy is required. Using working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
and internet. Assist in all aspects of preparation of annual assessments rolls and
exemption forms. Demonstrate readiness to learn principles and practices of real property
valuation and assessment to complete related work as required. Good organizational,
mathematical and computer skills, communication and public relations skills required.
Minimum qualifications:
Graduation from high school or the possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
