Sequoyah State Park & Sequoyah Lodge, located in eastern Oklahoma on the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, are a haven for water lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. With over 19,000 surface acres of water and 225 miles of shoreline, the park attracts boaters as well as those who just enjoy relaxing on the swim beach. Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking, horseback riding as well as wildlife watching, golfing

and camping. Sequoyah Lodge, operated in conjunction with Sequoyah State Park offers onsite lodging. It is the largest of Oklahoma's state park lodges with lodge rooms and suites, cottages, a bunkhouse, meeting rooms, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, playgrounds, recreation programs, outdoor cookouts and more. Campground facilities at Sequoyah State Park include modern with full hookups and semi-modern RV sites , tent sites, comfort stations and lighted boat ramps. Groups will find picnic shelters and group camping facilities for RV and tent camping, as well as a Group Camp with 10 A-frame cabins with a dining hall. Visit Three Forks Nature Center within the park for live animals, displays, a naturalist and a wide variety of trails for hiking, biking and running. The onsite 18-hole golf course with pro shop offers rental equipment, putting green, tree lined fairways, well placed sand bunkers, Pro Shop with Top brand merchandise, Online booking available for tee times, snacks and drinks, corporate outings, tournament bookings, lessons and more. Sequoyah Riding Stables provides horseback riding, pony rides and hayrides on wooded and open trails inside the fabulous Sequoyah State Park. Bring your group out to the Cowboy Camp at Sequoyah Riding Stables. The full-service marina at Paradise Cove features boat rentals, boat sales, loading dock, gas dock, slip rental, paddle boats, personal watercraft, econolifts, storage, bait and tackle supplies, Parts & Service Technician on-site, wakeboards, tubes, hunting & fishing license, beverages, ice, restrooms, security, open 7 days a week. Sequoyah State Park is an ideal getaway just 45 minutes southeast of Tulsa. Guests will enjoy the diversity of activities throughout the year.

All part time positions are paid $12/hr, up to 29 hours per week on average.

📢Event Update

We will gather at the Nature Center for tonight's "Capturing the Landscape" environmental photography event at 6pm.

Attendees should wear comfortable clothes, hiking shoes, water, bug repellent, and bring their preferred device for taking pictures - cell phones included.

This event welcomes anyone interested in environmental photography, with no requirement for advanced cameras or expertise.

With the storms that have passed through, the mushrooms have clocked in for work just in time for . Hit the trails at your favorite park and see what’s popping up! 🍄

Moisture wakes up all kinds of hidden fungi — tiny cups, shaggy ink caps, coral-shaped clusters, and those classic toadstool silhouettes. Every trail becomes a scavenger hunt when you slow down and look closely.

Join the Naturalist tomorrow at 6pm for the Capturing the Landscape: Environmental Photography Hike, where you might spot some fantastic finds! No fancy gear or expertise required — just comfortable clothes and hiking shoes, bug spray, and whatever device you like to take photos with! Meet at the Park Office! This event is a great opportunity to step into the role of environmental interpretation or just to admire our natural spaces. We look forward to your adventures with us!

Sequoyah State Park with Sequoyah Park Partners will be hosting Fireworks on LABOR DAY WEEKEND again this year!

You will still be able to enjoy fireworks from Sequoyah Lodge on Saturday, July 4th, weather permitting, as Banana Cove have their Fireworks Show scheduled at dusk. Banana Cove Fireworks Show can be seen from the east shoreline between Choctaw Campground & Inspiration Point.

Our naturalist will introduce several of the snake ambassadors who call the Three Forks Nature Center home, along with discussing other native species that play vital roles in our ecosystems.
