As many are aware, Landon Chester, one of our young firefighters was involved in a UTV accident this past Friday, January 9th. Landon was flown by life flight to St Francis Hospital. He underwent surgery today and is in stable condition. He will have some extended recovery time. Many have been asking what they can do to help.

After discussions with his family, our department will accept donations for the benefit of Landon and his family to go towards expenses, bills, travel, food, etc. It will be a while before Landon can return to work & his mom, Kristina won’t be earning anything while at the hospital with Landon.

If you would like to make any donation to help out Landon & his family, those can be mailed to our department at 6726 W. 710 Rd, Hulbert, OK 74441 or dropped in our mailbox on the west side of the building. Please make sure to note the funds are for the benefit of Landon Chester. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ronnett Beall at 918-633-8682.

Please remember to keep Landon in your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Rainfall yesterday and wintry precipitation northwest today will offer a brief respite from building fire danger concern, although dry air builds back in this weekend with dry conditions into next week. Some folks will engage in pile and debris burning this weekend given the recent moisture. A couple of things to remember:
Check your county burn ban status at https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/8bdc59b2a54a4383a9a2996fb9407580/
Have a means of suppressing your fire on hand such as a charged hose, extinguisher and hand tools.
Remain with your burn at all times until extinguished.
