This June 12, 13, 14, weekend we are hosting our open house, SMR meeting, and Spanish Mustang meet-up. This is the same weekend as our local rodeo.
If you or your project has any relevant promotional items, books, swag, logo banners, feel free to send them here and I will display and promote/sell them. Camping is invited on the ranch, as well as discounted rate at Screaming Eagle Campground that basically borders both the ranch and Hulett. We will not be hiring a caterer but will be making meals that all contribute to. We also darn near border town so folks can always go into town. There is a street dance on Saturday night. I also want to do a field trip or 2 to other area projects in the preceding days of the event. RSVP necessary so we can plan accordingly. We will be doing workshops on all aspects of Spanish Mustang/Colonial Spanish Horse preservation and filming those activities for promotional work. We are looking for a volunteer to be in charge of all film work. Any questions, just ask away. RSVP!

A main reason im preserving these horses is because I believe its important to know your environment from head to toe. Part of that is raising your own horse, but a silent part is that is eating foods that you know where they come from. Its about more than nutrition. Its about being part of something that makes us whole. I know that Brian did his best to make the highest quality food he can. So when, like last night I make my poor man's stroganoff, not only am I eating mushrooms that I found, im eating the pride that went into producing a great product. Does it have an effect physically? I say yes. I'm so proud of my friends and neighbors that contribute to my well-being in return. I smile as I eat great food. You should too. This is one way you can.

This is the where our horses came from. Through natural evolution in the wilds and historical adoption by the indigenous people, they changed a bit over the 500 or so years, but you should still see the remnants of that great horse in our herds. Some of course will be more obvious, that connection. But you will see it in all their hearts and very forward minds.
