* contain links to inappropriate websites. The Hull Police Department is commanded by Chief John E. Dunn and currently employs 25 Full-Time Police Personnel. The Hull Police Department is a member of Metro-LEC the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council and also the Old Colony Drug Task Force. Members of the Hull Police Department serve on Metro-LEC Special Tactics and Response Division (Metro-STAR). Metro-STAR serves as the tactical component of the Metro-LEC. Members of the Hull Police Department also serve on the Regional Traffic Safety Division. The Regional Traffic Safety Division provides vehicle related services for the Metro-LEC. The long-standing Motorcycle Unit is regularly activated to perform critical crowd control and traffic control services, as well as providing escorts
for major events occurring in and among member communities. The
Regional Traffic Safety Division is comprised of the following units:
Motorcycle Unit and Motor Vehicle Collision Reconstruction Services
Unit.

🚴‍♂️ Please Expect Traffic Delays Friday Morning 🚴‍♀️

Due to Bike to School Day in Hull on Friday morning, there will be intermittent traffic delays and temporary road closures along portions of Harborview Road, Main Street, Spring Street, Nantasket Avenue, and surrounding areas between approximately 7:45 AM and 8:15 AM.

Hull Police officers will be assisting with traffic control to help keep the students safe as they travel to school. Please use caution in the area and expect brief delays.

Hull Police Department’s K9 Peddocks to get donation of body armor

Hull Police Department, MA - K9 Peddocks will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Peddocks’ vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Madeline H. Hamersley”. Delivery is expected within ten weeks.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 6,513 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states, made possible by both private and corporate donations.

The program is open to U.S. dogs at least 20 months old, actively employed, and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $1,050 will sponsor one vest. Each vest has a value of $1800.00, weighs an average of 4-5 lbs., and comes with a five-year warranty. For more information, or to learn about volunteer opportunities, please call (508) 824-6978. On Memorial Day, we honor all who gave their lives defending our nation. We pause to pay tribute to their patriotism. Their sacrifice is remembered, today and always.

Due to the weather, the Memorial Day parade has been canceled. There will still be a ceremony held in the high school gym at 10am.

Town of Hull Transitions to Online System for Sales of Restricted Parking Permits and Visitor Passes: Chief John Dunn reports that the Town of Hull is transitioning to an online system for the sale of restricted parking permits and visitor parking passes.

The launch of the new payment platform, provided by City Hall Systems Inc., is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at approximately 12 p.m.
