* contain links to inappropriate websites. The Hull Police Department is commanded by Chief John E. Dunn and currently employs 25 Full-Time Police Personnel. The Hull Police Department is a member of Metro-LEC the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council and also the Old Colony Drug Task Force. Members of the Hull Police Department serve on Metro-LEC Special Tactics and Response Division (Metro-STAR). Metro-STAR serves as the tactical component of the Metro-LEC. Members of the Hull Police Department also serve on the Regional Traffic Safety Division. The Regional Traffic Safety Division provides vehicle related services for the Metro-LEC. The long-standing Motorcycle Unit is regularly activated to perform critical crowd control and traffic control services, as well as providing escorts
for major events occurring in and among member communities. The
Regional Traffic Safety Division is comprised of the following units:
Motorcycle Unit and Motor Vehicle Collision Reconstruction Services
Unit.

🚧🚧Traffic Advisory🚧🚧

Please be advised that roadway line painting will be taking place on Samoset Ave and Manomet Ave during the overnight hours on Monday and Tuesday (Aug 24th and 25th) As a reminder all vehicles must not be parked any closer than 20 feet to any intersection. Vehicle’s inside 20 feet must be moved prior to Monday evening.

Good morning, residents and commuters please be advised that starting Monday August 24th teachers will be reporting back to school, and there will be no longer be commuter parking in the High School lot. The lot will be open for students and staff only. Thank you for your cooperation and we hope for a great school year ahead!

Happy 250th! We hope everyone has a safe and fun night at the fireworks and festivities!

Don't forget to mark your calendars to join us this Friday and Saturday as we celebrate the US 250th with a Grand Finale Weekend! Friday night we have live entertainment, food trucks, beer garden, lawn games and fireworks at night. On Saturday, we will have a Hull/ US 250th Parade- followed by a Field Day. Lots of festivities/activities. Fun for all ages! Hope to see you there!

What a great night we had with the Massachusetts Special Olympics! The kickball game was a close 13-12 score, and a great time was had by all. Hopefully we can have even more people join us next year! Thanks so much to all of the volunteers, athletes, and everyone who helped organize this amazing event.

Hull Police Department’s K9 Peddocks has received donation of body armor

Hull Police Department, MA - K9 Peddocks has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Peddocks’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Madeline H. Hamersley”.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 6,603 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states,made possible by both private and corporate donations.

The program is open to U.S. dogs at least 20 months old and actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $1,050 will sponsor one vest. Each vest has a value of $1800.00, weighs an average of 4-5 lbs., and comes with a five-year warranty. For more information or to learn about volunteer opportunities, please call (508) 824-6978.
