This morning, members of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Luke Fleener of the Webster County Sheriff's Office conducted active attack training with staff from the Humboldt Community Schools. The National Weather Service has issued a weather statement for another round of severe weather for tonight (5/18) through the early morning hours on Tuesday (5/19). The threat could begin around 6pm and last through 3-4am.

Threats could include tornadoes, strong/ damaging winds, and hail. Since these storms could impact our area during the overnight hours it is important to have multiple ways to receive watch and warning information. You may not be able to hear an outdoor warning siren while inside your home.

Once the outdoor weather sirens stop sounding, you are still under a tornado warning and you should stay in your safe space. You should have a weather radio or stream weather information on your phone while you are in your safe space to determine when it is safe to come out.
