You probably already noticed...Station 4 is OPEN and staffed 24hrs a day, 7 days a week with two duty crews. This new fire station will house an Engine, a Ladder and a Chief vehicle. We're calling this fire station "Wildwood" named after the local neighborhood just down the street: "Wildwood Green". We're planning to hold an official ribbon cutting and an open house in May. Stay tuned for details!

The new fire engine that will be housed here is progressing nicely at Smeal Fire Apparatus. For now, we're using reserve Engine 33 (thank you Huntersville Fire Station 3).

It looks like the contractor building the station has milled the road up again out front. Most likely repairing the asphalt issue. Could be a few days before new asphalt is down. Please be aware of the bumps & use caution in the area!

Contractors are putting the final touches on various aspects of Fire Station 4. Although we have not taken control of the new station from them, we have noticed the condition of the roadway out front (McIlwaine Road). The contractor plans to mill the roadway and then repave it. In order to do this successfully, they need the weather to cooperate. The contractors are awaiting consistent, warmer weather (above 55 degrees) in order to achieve the best results of new pavement. We ask that you please be patient and understand that we are assured the road surface will be improved. Thank you!
