On March 23, 2026, at approximately 1420 hours, the Huntingdon Borough Police Department responded to the 400 block of Washington Street for a report of an attempted stabbing.
Upon arrival, the suspect was identified as Kenneth Dale Parks, Jr. Through the investigation, officers obtained video footage recorded by witnesses, as well as surveillance footage from surrounding buildings. The footage provided officers with a clear view of the events that unfolded. Parks was observed in the video brandishing and waving/slashing a knife as he charged at the victim. Parks is overheard making threats. Parks fled when witnesses stated they were calling the police.
A felony arrest warrant was obtained, and a multi-hour manhunt for Parks was conducted with the assistance of the Huntingdon County Sheriff’s Office. During the search, an informational tip was received regarding a residence where Parks was possibly hiding. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a resident who was not cooperative. Officers maintained a heavy presence in the area. Officers later observed Parks leaving the area of the residence. As officers approached, Parks attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Parks was lodged in the Huntingdon County Jail on felony and misdemeanor charges.
