Carroll County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse

The Carroll County Carl Perkins Center serves Carroll, Henry and Benton Counties in preventing and dealing with child abuse.

The center provides 24 Hour Hot Line Services, Child Advocacy Center Services, Community Education, Forensic Interview Services, Forever Parents, Kids on the Block, Nurturing Parenting, Stewards of Children, and much more. We do this through child education, parenting classes, community outreach and awareness, Relative Care Provider programs, Superfriend programs and a food/hygiene product pantry.

The annual Labor Day Boston Butt sale is happening today!!! 50 orders were placed!!! Thank you!!!

The grills are smoking and the meat is sizzling! If you placed an order for a butt, be at the Huntingdon Church of Christ at 18900 West Main Street between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to pick it up! We did order a few extra if you didn't get your order in, but it is first come first serve and when they are gone, they are gone! Thank you all for yet another opportunity to support the Center and serve our community!

Happy Friday, everyone!!!

This pie chart represents the number of followers we have on our profile and where they call home. That red part is the part that made us scratch our head. We have more followers from Benton, Gibson, Henry, and Madison County than we have in all of Carroll?! Really eye opening.

So for the month of September, we issue a challenge! On October 1st, we would love to see way less red! And let's get a good showing for Mckenzie! Here is it hoping you guys can catch up to Huntingdon!!! The race is on! Who will finish first???

It's another Thankful Thursday and we are blessed to be able to provide a food pantry for our community here at the Carl Perkins Center! These two little seasoning packets mean a lot to a struggling family!

September means it won't be long and it will be soup weather!!!

There is nothing like coming home to a crock-pot of slow simmered, hot and hearty soup! It's comfort food at it's finest. It's an easy meal, cheap to make, and so filling!

Here's the question- are you team taco soup or team chili???

Give us your favorite! And what do you like with it? Some cornbread maybe, or corn chips? Loaded with cheese or sour cream? Let's all get ready for FALL, y'all!

What's up, Wednesday?!

Let me tell you what's up... a new month! So of course that means a review of the last month and we had an amazing month!

We have reached our 2000 followers mark AND had a 115% increase in likes, shares, comments, views... all of the things that cost you nothing but mean so much to us!
👏It helps us get the word out about who we are and what we do
👏It helps us provide assistance with our calls to action for needs of the Center
👏It helps us get all of our events and fundraisers out to our community to boost involvement

There is no advertising quite as strong as word of mouth- getting the news from a source you trust. Goals- the other 26,440 people who live here in Carroll County!

Talk About, Tuesday!

Our community outreach program here at the Center relies strictly on donations from the community. Emergency food and hygiene assistance can be accessed once every three months. These are some of the items we are short on or completely out of. We accept Wal-Mart and Amazon deliveries during regular office hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 50 Stone Ridge Cove, Huntingdon, TN 38344. Flats of canned goods are always welcome! Boxes are better than bags for cereal, pasta, and rice. Canned is better than glass. Please be mindful of expiration dates. This really helps us keep our stock rotated! If you have any questions, please give us a call at 731-986-5920!

We have some very good friends at the Save-A-Lot Distribution Warehouse in Humboldt, TN!

We want to thank Scottie Dawson, Inventory Control Supervisor, and Tommy Loyd (pictured), Warehouse Supervisor, for their generosity in helping us with prep items and aluminum pans for our annual Labor Day Boston Butt sale!!! Almost 1800.00 in charcoal, spices, all the things! Because of donations like these, this fundraiser will be 100% profit! Today is the last day to get your ticket! We will have a few extra on the day of the event, but do not bet on it!!! Call us now and get your name on the list! 731-986-5920

Monday is the last day!!! We are only a quarter of the way to our goal! If you meant to get in on our Labor Day Boston butt sale, don't let another minute slip by! Another THANKFUL THURSDAY!!! We have received word that during the Circles of Hope Telethon held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center on Sunday, August 16th, we received 🥁🥁🥁22 gifts totaling 3378.97!!! 👏👏👏

We are so grateful to our community for recognizing the need and the important role the Carroll County Carl Perkins Center plays in helping our families and their children! We are sincerely blessed! 🙌
