⛳ Some of our WTPUD employees recently had the opportunity to participate in the Weakley and Carroll County Chamber golf tournaments. These events are a great way to bring employees from different departments together while building connections with others throughout our community.

Just a friendly heads-up — our summer meter painters will be working in your area this week checking and painting natural gas meters.
There's no need to do anything or be home. Our team will take care of the work and be on their way. You'll recognize them by their yellow WTPUD safety vests and red WTPUD trucks.

As the school year wraps up and summer begins, we’re reflecting on the many career days we had the opportunity to be part of this year. We were excited to finish out the school year visiting students at McKenzie Elementary School, Dresden Middle School, and Camden High School.

Good Information from TN 811!

What is the definition of "excavation" or "digging" under the law?

“Excavation” under law covers a long list of activities, including the “…movement, placement, or removal of earth, rock, or other materials in or on the ground by use of mechanized equipment, discharge of explosives, or by hand digging…”

Don’t assume buried are deep. Ground conditions like rock, hard soil, slopes, and existing underground congestion can keep lines much closer to the surface, even inches below ground.

Plan ahead and contact 811 three working days before your project. Don’t risk fines, cost of utility repairs or worse- potential injuries and death from striking an underground line. Know what’s below!
