The Huntingdon County Planning and Development Department is responsible for the administration of the County's planning and community development programs.
Operating as usual
As a reminder, effective October 13, 2020 in response to COVID-19, all public meetings of the County Planning Commission are being held via Zoom. The County Planning Commission meets the third Thursday of each month. Anyone wishing to participate in these public meetings, should contact the Planning Department at 814-643-5091 to obtain the Zoom log in information.
As of October 13, public meetings cannot be hosted in county offices due to increasing COVID-19 spread. The 2nd public hearing for the 2020 CDBG program advertised for October 15 at 5PM will be held via Zoom. Contact Stacia-Fe Gillen at 814-643-5091 ext. 425 for the log in information.
REBID: The Huntingdon County Planning and Development Department, on behalf of the Todd Township Supervisors, will receive sealed bids for “Handicap Restroom for Todd Township” until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Huntingdon County Planning Office (2nd floor) at 205 Penn Street, Ste. 3 Huntingdon, PA, 16652. Bid opening will be held in the conference room (1st floor) of the same building at 2:30PM; all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project consists of handicap upgrades including, demolition, concrete, framing, doors, drywall, VCT, acoustical ceilings, toilet accessories, plumbing, electric and site grading.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held for prospective bidders at the Township building on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at 6888 Old Plank Road, Broad Top, PA 16621.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be examined and obtained at the Huntingdon County Planning Department located on the second floor of 205 Penn Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652 Attn: Taylor Pollicino. Huntingdon County Emergency Management Agency (PA)
A reminder that Huntingdon County offices begin a modified and reduced staffing schedule today. Offices remain open.
This is being done due to an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in our county and recent COVID-19 cases at or involving the courthouse.
In order to best serve the public, as well as protect public and employee health, county offices will be operating with reduced staff who will work alternating schedules to reduce the potential for public and employee COVID exposure and spread.
The Courthouse and Bailey Building remain open and unlocked for access.
Anyone who can conduct business with a county office by phone, fax, email or electronically is asked to do so.
County offices will be limiting the number of people allowed in the office at any given time. So if you must conduct business in person please make an appointment. At this time appointments are not required but are requested.

Al necessary precautions will continue to be taken at the Courthouse and Bailey Building including frequent disinfecting, social distancing and wearing masks.

The Huntingdon County Commissioners and the Huntingdon County Emergency Management Agency continue to discuss concerns regarding increases in COVID-19 cases in Huntingdon County.
In order to best serve the public as well as protecting public health and safety, effective immediately the county offices will once again be functioning with reduced staff. County offices will not be closed, however we anticipate this staff reduction may cause service delays. County offices will be limiting the number of people allowed in an office at any given time. You are strongly encouraged to utilize electronic methods to conduct business with the county offices. If you must conduct business in person, please make an appointment.

Beginning with the Commissioners Public Meeting scheduled for October 20, access to the public meetings will be limited to GoToMeeting until further notice. Information for accessing those meetings can be found at www.huntingdoncounty.net.
The Huntingdon County Court of Common Pleas would also like to make the public aware of a recent COVID-19 exposure in the Courthouse. This weekend the Court was advised that an attorney who appeared in court on Monday, October 5, has tested positive for COVID-19. The Court has taken all precautions pursuant to C.D.C. guidelines, and any individual who had potential exposure was notified.
At this time, the Court will continue to operate as scheduled with all necessary precautions in place including frequent disinfecting, social distancing, and wearing masks.
The Court remains in consultation with Huntingdon County Emergency Management and the Huntingdon County Commissioners, and we will provide further scheduling updates through the court web site at www.huntingdoncountycourt.net.

The Huntingdon County Planning Commission will virtually hold their regularly scheduled Thursday, May 21, 2020 meeting from 7PM to 9PM using GoToMeeting. The Planning Commission will continue to hold their regularly scheduled meetings remotely using GoToMeeting until guidance from the state is received lifting the restrictions on group meetings. The Board of Directors of the Huntingdon County Agricultural Association are committed to having the best 2020 Fair possible. In these times of uncertainty, there are no guarantees but at this time it is our intention to continue with the 2020 fair as we normally would. We will be monitoring all communications from the PA Department of Agriculture and will comply with all state and federal regulations.
