Thank you all for participating in our celebration of National Breastfeeding Month! We have enjoyed reading your comments and are in awe of all that you have done for your babies. 💪🏼

Our agency believes women should be supported no matter what choice they make and our staff will always respect that decision. We also know that many think they can't breastfeed because of a number of fear-based reasons. Your words may have reached just one other woman and encouraged or inspired that mama that it's a real possiblity she can do this for her baby. Thank you for sharing your experiences to let others know breastfeeding is not impossible! ❤️

Post 3: During this year, the 250th anniversary of the USA, we recognize that our country was started with determination, purpose, and strength. As a health agency, WIC works to uphold our strong nation by building healthy communities through healthy families. 🇺🇸

Breastfeeding is a vital means of improving the health of our families. However, because we work with many families, we know that breastfeeding is not a one-size-fits-all. We know you are rocking your own version of breastfeeding that makes sense in your world. We see you nursing, pumping, or supplementing your baby with the same determination, purpose, and strength that this nation was founded on. And, you are doing it all with love!🥰👏🏽

For this National Breastfeeding Month post, tell us how you were able to fit breastfeeding into your world. Did you lean on your family and friends for support? Post 2: Happy National Breastfeeding Month!

Here is a secret about breastfeeding: No one really knows what they're doing when they start. It takes practice, patience for yourself and your baby, and a lot of time and support to help you feel like you've got the hang of it! 👶🏽⏰🥲

At WIC, we know that you are doing the best you can figuring it out with your baby. We celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem to you. We recognize that your love for your baby is not measured in ounces! In the end, we want you to feel empowered about how your body can nourish your baby. We want you to know that you are doing an incredible job and that the work is worth it not just for your baby's health, but for your confidence as a warrior mama doing what
she needs to do for her baby!💪🏼👸🏻❤️

And, even the fiercest warrior mamas need support. We've got that covered for you with the BTAMC WIC staff. 👺🤱🏾
