The PGC will be conducting a prescribed burn and smoke will be visible. Please use caution in the area of the shooting range on Petersburg Pike. Please stay out of the area and let crews work.

What is a hotshot crew? Interagency hotshot crews are groups of elite wildland firefighters, with 18 to 22 members per crew who are chosen for their rigorous training, peak physical fitness, and proven skills in complex fire operations.

Hotshots perform the toughest assignments: direct line construction, structure protection, holding firelines in steep or remote terrain, and supporting all phases of wildfire response.

Our hotshots have been training hard and preparing for upcoming wildfire activity so they are ready to protect the communities and landscapes we all cherish.
