We have a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall mainly over NE AR through tomorrow morning. Several bands of heavy rainfall are expected over these areas with coverage increasing as we move through the afternoon hours.🌧️⛈️

A Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will be available in Carroll County to provide in-person help for residents affected by Winter Storm Fern.
Survivors can visit the center for assistance with FEMA applications, SBA low-interest disaster loan applications, checking application status, resolving case issues, and connecting with other recovery resources. No appointment is needed.

The center will be open 5/26/2026 - 5/30/2026 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carroll County Civic Center.
Residents are encouraged to bring any relevant documents, including identification, insurance information, and damage-related paperwork.

Daily thunderstorm chances are expected through the upcoming weekend. With deep moisture overhead, heavy rainfall will be the main concern. This will bring a medium risk for localized flash flooding to the Mid-South. Keep checking back for updates on the latest forecast. 🌧️

HWY 22 Northbound from Huntingdon to McKenzie is currently shut down due to an accident. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Emergency crews will remain on scene, and the highway is expected to be closed for an extended period. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday for northeast Arkansas, the Missouri bootheel and far West Tennessee. A Marginal Risk (1/5) exists for areas to the east.

Should a storm reach severe limits, large hail and damaging winds would be primary threats. This is a Medium-Low confidence forecast and the primary period of concern is Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Good news! The Slight and Marginal Risks have shifted. This mornings showers and thunderstorms and extensive cloud cover have benefited the Mid-South. We are still keeping an eye on our southern tier of counties in north Mississippi as any sunshine will help destabilize the environment and aid storm development. If a storm does become severe, damaging winds are the primary concern. A tornado cannot be ruled out, but confidence is low overall.
