Carroll County Soil & Water Conservation District

Carroll County Soil & Water Conservation District The Soil Conservation District assists landowners in Carroll County in land and water conservation practices.

Is a Sub-Division of the state government that works with landowners at the local level. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) have staff on site to assist landowners with several different cost share programs and the technical assistance to implement those programs in order to improve and control soil erosion. The Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is on site to assist the NR

CS with accomplishing the tasks mentioned previously. The SWCD not only works in partnership with the NRCS but also with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA). The TDA provides grant funds to be distributed through the districts to local landowners in order to improve water quality within the county.
