Hey folks, big update here! Today, we circled back to an important discussion we opened up in 2017 about our city's voting system. We've officially nudged the city with a certified letter because we're still on the case for a fairer way to elect our leaders.

Together with fellow community advocates, we're advocating for a change from the at-large election system. It's about making sure our diverse voices and votes shape the City Council to truly reflect the vibrancy of Huntington Beach.

Let's keep this momentum going and make our collective voice heard. It's about time for our elections to mirror the community spirit of our city.

Buenas Tardes California Democratic Party Delegates!

I’ve had the pleasure to serve as the Democratic Party of Orange County(DPOC) West, Vice-Chair, Chair of the Chicano Latino Immigrant Democratic Club of Orange County and have recently been re-elected another 4-year term as a DPOC Central Committee member.

Today, I hereby announce my candidacy for California Democratic Party (CDP) Region-17 Director. I’d be honored to earn your support and vote.

After being elected to DPOC youngest Latinx to the 3rd largest county in CA, I was one of the few trusted Democratic voices bringing non-traditional viewpoints into our Democratic Party.

I know what it takes to win locally and nationally, and with your trust, I will work tirelessly to unite all corners of our party to bring change locally and nationally. We work inclusively, welcoming all, and I’m personally ready to usher in progressive voices to meet those in the middle. This is our chance to work together under the “big tent.”

COVID-19 dramatically impacted all of our lives, but It has never been able to infect and alter our Democratic values. Together with our newly elected President, Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris, I believe 2021 will only make us stronger and propel us to continue flipping red seats blue, which we lost in 2020 [AD 68, 72, CA-39 & CA-48]!

I humbly ask for consideration and your vote at this upcoming 2021 CDP Convention.

Making government work for all the people isn’t radical, it’s the expectation of the public on their party and elected officials. Republican officials have failed you in this moment. Instead of fighting for you, Republicans are vilifying the young people of our community, while ignoring the overspending and unchecked violence by the police on their constituents is wrong. In November, we won’t just be winning seats against a Republican Party that has no idea how to meet this historic moment and lead for the young people of Orange County - we will be winning seats with Democrats who will be committed to ending police brutality.

Yes, Its true. The establishment came after me and got me. They think I going to stay quiet....WRONG. Friendly reminder to everyone. I just got elected for four more years by the of the 72nd assembly district.

"The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) has stripped an executive title from one of its leaders, Victor Valladares, who became controversial among county Democrats for recent social media criticisms of the party amid the 2020 presidential race."

Democratic Party members at their Monday, May 25 meeting voted to remove Valladares, who lives in Huntington Beach, from his position as West Vice Chair among the DPOC’s seven executive officers, which includes party chair Ada Briceño.
