If any of these questions seem suprising to you, then join us at for an exciting event with the UC Master Gardeners of Orange County!

Join us on the fourth Friday of every month for a fun LEGO building time. Each session will have a new and exciting challenge, plus plenty of free building time to let your imagination run wild!
The library will provide all the LEGO, and kids bring the creativity and big ideas.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Hang loose, Surf City! Sunday, September 20 is California Surfing Day—a statewide celebration of our waves, our legends, and the culture that makes Huntington Beach home. From the pier to the lineup, this day honors surfing’s history, healthy oceans, and the future of the sport.

Celebrate with us at HBPL. Visit the International Surfing Museum at Main Street Library to see vintage boards and the stories behind Surf City. Check out local favorites like Mark Zambrano’s Surfing in Huntington Beach, ocean and beach picture books for little groms.

With your HBPL library card, you will be able to access to:

35 check outs at a time, including up to 10 DVDS or CDs

The Makerspace, where we have 3D printers, embroidery machines, sewing machines, button makers, CNC routers, etc., with friendly coaches to assist you every step of the way

The Seed Library, where you are able to grab up to 10 seed packets per month

eBooks and Audiobooks through apps such as Libby, Palace Project, and Hoopla
and so much more!
