🗳️ Primary Election Information
Primary elections allow voters to help determine which candidates will appear on the ballot in the general election.
In New York, primary elections are closed, meaning only voters registered with a political party may vote in that party’s primary election.
The candidate receiving the greatest number of votes wins the primary, even if they do not receive more than 50% of the votes cast.
Voting is an important part of civic participation. Residents are encouraged to review their voter registration status, polling location, and voting information before heading to the polls.

The Pride Parade in Huntington was on fire today!!! Between the Knicks big win and this high spirited parade, the energy in this town feels so amplified this weekend! I enjoyed marching with the Grand Marshall, my friend, our NYS Comptroller Tom Dinapoli as well three other Legislators in Suffolk . Great to see so many friends out and a spirit of unity and love glowing from every corner of the town.
