Students are encouraged to wear their House colors every Friday. Today, they got to sit with their Houses during lunch. Some students from Altruismo, Amistad, Isibindi, and Reveur lead their tables with the House cheers and it made for an enthusiastic environment in all three lunches this afternoon. ❤️🖤💚💙

🫧🫧🫧It is experiment day in the 6th grade! Students in Mrs. Forbes' 6th grade science class have been learning about independent, dependent, and controlled variables. Today, they got to participate in a bubble lab. They blew bubbles and when the bubbles would burst the students would measure the diameter. They also used different kinds of soap to determine which would produce the biggest bubble. So much fun! 🫧🫧🫧

Congratulations to our first Soaring Staff Member of the Month, Ms. Stanley. Ms. Stanley is not only a fantastic 8th grade science teacher but she has also worked so hard with helping to get our House System up and running, and it has been a huge success already. Way to go, Ms. Stanley! Keep SOARing! 🖤🦅💛

We ended this crazy week of testing and House reveals with an in-school dance and game room. Our students were awesome this week and surely they are as ready for the weekend as the staff definitely is. Happy Friday!

If you haven’t heard the names Altruismo, Amistad, Isibindi, or Reveur yet, be prepared to be hearing and seeing a lot of content focusing on each of these. Yesterday, our students were sorted into houses that are called Altruismo, Amistad, Isbindi, and Reveur. We had “House Reveal Parties” all morning before lunch and during the afternoon we had “House Games.” It was a day filled with unity and fun and we are excited to bond more with our houses in the coming months.
