We visited the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival today. I had the privilege of being a judge at this year‘s bake off. The West Virginia Department of Agriculture was there with Betsy the Cow, a bee keeping display and information on native insects. The pioneer village was something to see and John enjoyed a cup of coffee from one of the villagers. This year’s winning pumpkin was from Kenova, WV and weighed over 1900 pounds! I hope to have the WV Pumpkin Festival episode up by the end of the weekend.
