This means that

we help families be flexible and resilient. Our programs can help you establish strong social connections and give you concrete support in times of need. We recognize your strengths and understand that being a parent is part natural and part learned. We also help your children connect and relate to their world. Hilltown Family Center offers: Parent/caregiver-child playgroups; School readiness programs (Ready! for kindergarten); Family and community education and literacy development; Read and Rise; Nurturing Your Baby; Ages and Stages developmental screenings; Childbirth education; Happiest Baby on the Block classes; Newborn home visiting (including Brazleton Newborn Observations) All programs are free and open to the public. Funds for this program were provided through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care’s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant Program.

Traffickers prey on the most vulnerable: people with limited material or emotional resources. They choose to target those who have experienced the trauma of violence, poverty, the welfare system, substance use, immigration issues, familial troubles, or even all of the above. This is because traffickers know it's easier to manipulate people who are facing physical or emotional instability. This is NOT to say that anyone suffering from any of these stressors is to blame for making themselves "easy targets." We must know WHO to PROTECT from this type of exploitation. A community that cares about its most vulnerable populations is critical to breaking the cycle of exploitation and violence!

Denim Day is recognized on the last Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court to overturn a r**e conviction because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who r**ed her remove them, thereby implying consent. Following the reversal, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim.
