πŸ₯ͺCabell County Schools to Provide Summer Meals Throughout the Community🍎

Cabell County Schools announces its sponsorship of the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Lunch Program is open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate.

Students may access the meals through three different methods:
🌟daily lunch at various community sites
🌟weekly meal boxes in more rural areas of the district, as determined by the USDA
🌟daily breakfast and lunch as part of any Cabell County Schools' summer learning programs

The meal box pick up is only available at sites that were approved by USDA. While Huntington sites did not qualify for multiple day meal boxes, we have many locations hosting daily summer feeding sites.

See the list and schedule of on-site daily meals by visiting: https://www.cabellschools.com/article/2963647

Non-Congregate Feeding (7-Day Meal Box Distribution) * Parents are required to sign up weekly if they intend to pick up a meal box at one of the following sites. The link to sign up for the first week (June 17) will be live starting at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10. Parents or guardians may sign up at https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/cZc4nMf0yz

We were thrilled to welcome so many future Highlanders on the hill for our very first Highlander Hangout this evening!

The enthusiasm and energy of the class of 2030 was exciting to see. We enjoyed connecting with students and families as they learned more about the opportunities that await them. πŸ’šπŸ’›

Students can sign-up for CLIMB Camp for more experience on the Hill! This one-day camp will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided.

During the event, students will tour the school, meet staff and classmates, and learn about the expectations of 9th graders. Introductions and learning will be coupled with team building and fun as students become acclimated with their new school. Participation in this event is highly recommended.

Help our FBLA students get to San Antonio!
06/02/2026

Help our FBLA students get to San Antonio!

We have to raise nearly $30k to take our FBLA students to nationals.

They have worked numerous fundraisers including 5 very successful lemonade sales at events at HHS, a little Caesar's pizza sale, graduation cap decorating sessions, banner painting, student vs staff basketball game, shirt making, a reception at Sip, a dine and donate at Oscars, making graduation fans and this week Sip and Tip at Sip Downtown Brasserie.

There is no shortage of hard work with this group! They go above and beyond to push the limit each and every time. Summer is now here and schedules are crazy but we are still trying to plan some last minute fundraisers.

But the reality is we are less than a month out and we could use your help. If you are able to donate, great! But if not that is completely ok, we just ask that you please share our posts, share our fundraisers, get the word out for us.

If you are a business that would be interested in sponsoring a student or a portion of their trip, please reach out. We are a 501c3 nonprofit so your donations are tax deductible.

We appreciate all of the support from our community! We are so proud to be representing Huntington as young professionals and we hope we make you proud as well!
