Today was a special day for our community as we celebrated the opening of the new Period Pantry alongside our incredible partners at United Way of the River Cities’ Project Period and the Cabell County Public Library. Before the ribbon cutting, volunteers came together to pack 100 hygiene kits that are now ready to be distributed to community members who need them most.

This pantry provides free menstrual and hygiene products with dignity, accessibility, and compassion for women and girls in our community. As the first publicly accessible outdoor period pantry in Huntington, it expands access beyond traditional indoor locations and allows essential products to be available anytime they’re needed.

We are so proud to be part of a project that helps remove barriers and supports our neighbors in meaningful ways.

📍 The pantry is located outside the Cabell County Public Library at 455 9th Street in downtown Huntington and is available to anyone in need.

What an inspiring evening at the Huntington Children’s Museum. Our recent General Membership Meeting was a tremendous success, and we left feeling energized by the incredible work happening right here in our community.

Executive Director Raine Klover shared powerful insights into the museum’s mission, the families it serves, and the exciting plans ahead. From hands‑on learning to creative play, the museum is building opportunities that spark curiosity and strengthen the future of our region’s children.

Members also enjoyed a behind‑the‑scenes tour that showcased just how much passion and purpose go into creating this space. It’s clear that the Huntington Children’s Museum is more than a destination—it’s a community partner making a real difference for local kids and families.

We’re proud to support an organization doing so much good for Huntington and look forward to seeing its impact continue to grow💙🔬

Hats off to a truly meaningful day 👒❤️

Members of the Junior League of Huntington were honored to attend the annual “Hats Off” Derby Brunch in support of Golden Girl Group Home—an organization doing life-changing work for teenage girls in our community.

For more than 40 years, Golden Girl has provided a safe, nurturing space for young women who have experienced trauma, offering stability, compassion, and hope for a brighter future.

We’re especially inspired by leaders like Nikki Thomas, whose passion and dedication continue to move this mission forward in powerful ways.

The 11th year of this beautiful event was filled with purpose, connection, and, of course, stunning Derby hats 🌹🏇

❤️ Proud to Share an Exciting Community Partnership ❤️

The Junior League of Huntington is proud to stand alongside the United Way of the River Cities and the Cabell County Public Library to launch an outdoor period pantry—an important initiative focused on combating period poverty in our community.

The period pantry will be located outside the Main Branch of the Cabell County Public Library, providing free, discreet, and reliable access to essential menstrual products for those who need them most.

We stand together in the belief that access to basic hygiene products should never be a barrier. This initiative is about more than supplies—it’s about equity, dignity, and compassion, and about showing up for the girls and women in our community in ways that truly matter.
