Marshall University Special Project Coordinator: Conduct background research for new curriculum initiatives as well as benchmark with other universities. Coordinator will assist with internships, external engagement activities, economic development and entrepreneurial related projects and initiatives. The coordinator will meet regularly with the dean, associate deans and faculty of the Lewis College of Business, Brad D. Smith Schools of Business to discuss ideas and strategies of promoting successful programs, collaborative projects, and faculty deployment to teach at partner institutions. Assist institutional partnership universities in obtaining necessary documents, drafts contracts for the program, visits foreign universities for recruiting, makes presentations to foreign university administrators, assist and meet regularly with the Dean and Associate Dean of the Lewis College of Business to discuss ideas and strategies associated with recruiting prospective students in china, as well as keeping them informed of progress and/or arising issues or concerns. Create and maintain statistical spreadsheets requested by Dean and Associate Dean. Upon graduation of Chinese students, communicate with the Chinese Embassy Education Office in order to assist students with having their degrees verified by the Chinese Embassy education office so that they
may use their degrees to find jobs in China upon their return. Provide assistance and coordinate in the following areas: diversity and inclusion; marketing and promotion; regional campus outreach; curriculum integration; re-entry programming; and general study abroad support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business Admin or related field. 12 months of administrative related exp. Must be results-oriented with proven ability to make data-driven and informed decisions. Must have experience using data analytics tools. Must have experience communicating with foreign entities. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Must have experience with foreign higher education requirements and mapping the degree program with Marshall University requirements. Must have higher education contract experience. Must prepare and make presentations to a foreign audience. Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills, organization, project management, and communication skills.
