Huntington County Public Safety Dispatch offers a free Address Advisory Program that lets you share important details about your home before an emergency ever happens. Medical conditions, aggressive pets, gate codes, bedroom locations, emergency keyholders, and more.

That information goes into our dispatch system so responders know what they're walking into. Faster response, safer responders, and critical details available when seconds matter. Your information stays secure and is only accessible to emergency personnel.

We’ve Updated Our Severe Weather Graphic

Following this year’s severe weather season, we’ve updated our Huntington County severe weather graphic to reflect the four confirmed tornadoes that touched down in our county this year.

While tornadoes often receive the most attention, it’s important to remember that severe thunderstorms remain the most frequent and consistent severe weather threat in Huntington County. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning impact our area far more often than tornadoes.

Our goal is to provide accurate, up-to-date information to help our community better understand the hazards we face and stay prepared.

Take a look at the updated graphic below, and remember to have multiple ways to receive weather warnings before severe weather strikes. 🌩️🌪️
