~GOD IS OUR SHIELD ~ September Prayer Gathering - Pray with us! “But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high” Psalm 3:3.

Join on Tuesday, September 8th, in the food pantry community kitchen (715 Byron Street) at noon to pray! You don't need to be comfortable praying out loud. We'll have a prayer guide to follow and are glad to have you praying silently along with us as we praise God for being our SHIELD and seek His guidance. We are grateful to serve a God who hears the prayers of our hearts. Thank you for supporting the ministry of United with Love through prayer!

DONATE A GIFT CARD TO ANYWHERE!

United with Love is collecting $25 gift cards for the annual Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser! Thank you for considering participating in the Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser to benefit United with Love and our neighbors. We desire to serve our neighbors with compassion and dignity and with the best possible services and goods we are able to offer while walking alongside them on their journeys. We are grateful for the many ways God graciously meets the needs of those in our community and are excited to offer this unique fundraising opportunity to come together to help provide for our neighbors. Our goal is to raise $5,000 through the gift card raffle fundraiser this year to help meet needs in our community! We hope to have at least 20 gift cards on each gift card board so that the winners of the gift card raffle will receive at least $500 in gift cards!

Ways you can support United with Love via the Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser:
*Donate a $25 gift card by September 21, 2026 dropped off to the food pantry receptionist.
*Purchase gift card raffle tickets once available beginning on September 28, 2026. Tickets will be 1 for $3 or 10 for $20 on sale through October 19, 2026.
*Share the photos of the gift card boards via text or social media once they are available on September 28, 2026 to spread the word about this fundraiser.
*Pray with us that this fundraiser will be a blessing to our community and that God will be glorified as we serve our neighbors together!

Last night was a pretty special night. Our very own Ashley Bender was honored with the Rebecca Hawley Award at the Place of Grace Celebration Dinner, and to say the United With Love team is proud of her would be an understatement.

If you know Ashley, you know that her love of Jesus and heart for people isn't something she turns on when she's at work. It's simply who she is, ALWAYS. That upon receiving the award her immediate response was prayer and pointing all the glory back to God is exactly why she deserves it.

She sees people. She listens. She encourages. She shows up. She loves people well and quietly walks alongside them as they take their next steps forward. So much of what Ashley does will never come with an award or public recognition, and I think that's exactly why seeing her honored last night meant so much.

We have the privilege of seeing firsthand the compassion, faith and genuine love she brings to our neighbors EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. She makes United With Love better simply by being part of it, and her impact reaches far beyond our walls and into this community we all love.

Ashley, we hope you know how deeply appreciated you are. You are a blessing to our team, to our neighbors and to Huntington County, and we could not be prouder to call you one of ours!

Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of meeting with four pretty incredible people, two 4th graders, a 7th grader, and a freshman, who decided to spend part of their summer making a difference for their neighbors.

They hosted a lemonade stand and raised $205 for United With Love!

But I think my favorite part may be this: with each cup of lemonade, they gave out sweet little cross bookmarks with a note that said, “Thank you for giving to others who need help."

How good is that?

These kids didn’t just sell lemonade. They reminded their community that we all have something we can give and that caring for our neighbors doesn’t have an age requirement.

To these four amazing students: thank you! Thank you for your big hearts, your hard work, and for choosing to spend part of your summer loving your neighbors so well.

We are incredibly grateful for your $205 gift, but even more grateful for the beautiful example you gave all of us.

THIS is community. This is loving your neighbor. And this is something worth celebrating today!

🍂Pumpkin spice is back, and it's giving us all the fall feels! We are so excited to announce our September Cooking with Love menu that gives all the cozy, fall vibes you're craving: Roasted Pumpkin Bisque, Butternut Squash Soup, and Apple Galette. Thanks to a generous grant from Parkview Huntington Hospital, everyone who attends this class will leave with the main ingredients to make these dishes at home. 🍎

All are welcome to this totally free class, but space is limited, so please call 260-356-0933 to register.

Check out our Creating Community schedule below - everyone is welcome and classes are free! Our most recent project was macrame mushroom jars. The project was frustrating or relaxing, or a bit of both, depending on who you asked (So. Many. Knots!!), but the laughs were many! At Creating Community, we stick together through the wins and try-agains.

If you’re looking for a fun place to spend an afternoon trying new things, from arts and crafts to baking, with people who pray and laugh together, look no further! You are welcome at United with Love.

Thank you to members of the Huntington University Men's Soccer Team for serving at United with Love recently! These gentlemen were determined to tackle many projects from mowing to painting to window washing to organizing kitchenware and supplies. This service is a blessing, and we are grateful for the many in our community who help United with Love be a clean and welcoming environment for our neighbors to feel valued and to experience God's deep love!
