What is B. cereus?
Bacillus cereus food poisoning is a type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning. It’s commonly found in foods like:

🥡 Leftovers that weren’t stored properly
Why is it a problem?
B. cereus can produce toxins that aren’t destroyed by reheating. That means even if you warm your food back up, it can still make you sick.
Symptoms can include:

⏱ Symptoms can start quickly—sometimes within just a few hours!
How can you prevent it?
✔ Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours
✔ Keep hot foods hot (above 140°F)
✔ Store cold foods cold (below 40°F)
✔ Don’t leave cooked rice or pasta sitting out overnight
