We can't share this enough. If you are struggling please reach out someone will always be there for you
The biggest lie in public safety is this:
“I’m good.”
We say it after bad calls.
After child deaths.
After the nights nobody else sees.
Because that’s what we’re supposed to do.
Be tough.
Handle it.
Don’t complain.
But here’s the truth from someone who’s been around this job a while:
Nobody walks through this career untouched.
Not firefighters.
Not cops.
Not medics.
The job changes you.
The calls stay with you.
And pretending you’re fine
doesn’t make it go away.
Talking about it might.
Check on your people tonight.
The quiet ones especially.
A simple
“You good?”
might save someone’s life.
