Marshall University Center for Teaching and Learning CTL promotes a campus culture at Marshall University that values pedagogical, disciplinary, and program-based inquiry in support of student learning.

The mission of the Center for Teaching and Learning is to promote a campus culture at Marshall University that values pedagogical, disciplinary, and program-based inquiry in support of student learning. The Center houses three units: the Faculty Development Office, the Writing across the Curriculum Program, and the Service Learning Program. The Office of Academic Affairs established the Center for

Teaching Excellence in the fall of 1999. In 2006 the name of the Center was changed to the Center for Teaching and Learning in order to reflect a broadening mission and a fuller understanding of the crucial interdependence between effective teaching and successful learning.
