The US National Weather Service Kansas City Missouri has issued a TORNADO WATCH for our area until 11:00 p.m. this evening. Pay attention to the weather this evening and have more than one way to receive a warning.

RESPONDER TRAINING

Crews from Randolph and Monroe County emergency response agencies spent an evening in Huntsville at Westran Fire Protection District learning how to respond to emergencies involving the multitude of electric transmission and distribution power lines that criss-cross the area.

DISASTER ASSISTANCE BRIEFING

Thank you to our friends at Moberly Area Community College for allowing us to host local government agencies from Charition, Monroe and Randolph counties for a briefing from Missouri State Emergency Management Agency on the federal disaster declaration for the April 27th tornados and storms.

We continue to wait to learn if there will be an official declaration for assistance to individuals.
