Our hearts go out to Erik Peters during this difficult time for him and his Huntsville-Walker County EMS and Riverside Volunteer Fire Department families. His dedication and commitment to his community as an EMT and Firefighter is second to none. Please support him in any way possible.

One of our own was diagnosed with Leukemia today.... Erik Peters is the kind of man that is willing to help out anyone at any time and put a smile on everyone's face. In addition to working with us here at WCEMS, he is a firefighter and EMS captain for Riverside VFD, and an active member of the Army National Guard.

Erik is profoundly fun to be around and is not afraid to speak his mind.

We humbly ask you to donate if you can to assist in this nightmarish time of his life.

As we continue to reflect this Memorial Day, we wanted to share this information for the Fallen Warriors Memorial located in Northwest Houston at Cy-Champ Park. For those that haven't had the opportunity to visit, this is an awesome tribute in remembering those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

There is also an adjacent memorial paying tribute to Service Dogs that have been lost in the line of duty.

After a great turnout for our recent hand sanitizer donation for healthcare workers and first responders in Walker and Trinity County, we have decided to do the same for our neighbors and friends in Polk County.

We salute the hard work and dedication you've shown throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be donating hand sanitizer today and tomorrow for all healthcare workers and first responders in Polk County at the Center of Hope in Livingston.

Your health and your family's health is critical to our collective success as we continue to battle this virus while keeping eachother as safe as possible.

As the economy continues to re-open its critical that everyone continue to practice good hand hygiene-- above all else proper hand washing for at least 20 seconds as recommended by the CDC. CDC has stated that where soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.

We will also be delivering hand sanitizer to those who suffered losses from the recent Onalaska tornado.

Ventura along with members of the Trinity Memorial Hospital District had the opportunity to meet with officials from HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe and their new helicopter AirLife 11. This provides us another tool when assessing destination determination for critically ill patients. Thank you for the visit!

We want to thank our fellow healthcare workers and first responders for a huge turnout over the last 3 days as we conclude our hand sanitizer donation. The turnout was incredible! We were able to donate almost 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to the families of over 500 healthcare workers and first responders in Walker and Trinity County.

This was an opportunity for us to give back to our community and help in a difficult time where such an ordinary, yet necessary product has been difficult to obtain.

Small communities like ours are the fabric of America and we’re proud to have served Huntsville and Trinity for the last 10 years.
