🎓 Celebrating the Success of the Inaugural Junior Law Enforcement Academy! 🚔
Last Friday, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office and the Moberly Police Department proudly celebrated the graduation of the first-ever Joint Junior Law Enforcement Academy, marking an exciting milestone in our commitment to developing future public safety leaders.
Throughout the week, six outstanding students immersed themselves in the world of law enforcement and public safety. They experienced hands-on training while learning about patrol operations, criminal investigations, defensive tactics, K-9 operations, emergency communications, fire and EMS services, aviation resources, and the many disciplines that work together every day to keep our communities safe.
We are incredibly proud to congratulate our six graduates. Your professionalism, enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn made this inaugural academy an overwhelming success. We hope this experience sparked a passion for service that will stay with you for years to come.

A special recognition goes to School Resource Officer Corporal Ben Weirich and Deputy Angel Kelley, both of the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, for their vision, leadership, and countless hours dedicated to developing and implementing the curriculum for this inaugural Junior Law Enforcement Academy. From designing engaging lesson plans and coordinating instructors to personally teaching throughout the week, their commitment was instrumental in the academy's success. Their passion for mentoring young people and investing in the next generation of public safety professionals created an outstanding experience for every participant and laid the foundation for what we hope becomes a long-standing tradition in Randolph County.
Their efforts transformed an idea into a reality, and the success of this inaugural academy is a direct reflection of their dedication, leadership, and hard work.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to every instructor, presenter, and volunteer who dedicated their time, knowledge, and expertise throughout the week. Whether you demonstrated specialized equipment, taught hands-on skills, shared your professional experiences, or answered the many questions from our students, each of you played an important role in making this academy a success.
