*DRILL NIGHT*

This evening, crews trained for maximizing hydrant output to engines on a large scale scene.
Using large diameter hoses to relay to other pumping trucks on scene, crews enacted the workings of a large commercial fire, which is something we’re preparing for as we get called for mutual aid to the city more frequently these days.

On another note, we have a crew in Ohio right now that is going to be doing the final inspection on our second engine, which will be delivered to Crabb’s Prairie in a week or so.

Big things are happening in the prairie!
Stay tuned! 🚒

Good Morning and welcome to Friday’s Firefighter, Saturday Edition.
Since yesterday was 9/11, we reserved that day in memory of all those that were lost and all of those that lost someone.💔

Today, we bring to you a veteran of the fire service, Firefighter Dennis Hanks.
Dennis joined our ranks this year after feeling compelled to be involved in the community.
Dennis retired from the Houston Fire Department and settled in Pine Prairie.
Dennis is assigned to Station 43-Pine Prairie.

Thank you, Dennis.

AS YOU PREPARE FOR BED TONIGHT NEVER FORGET:

On this day... 25 years ago:

♥️ 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.
♥️ 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.
♥️ 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.
♥️ 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.
♥️ 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives.
💔 None of them took a breath past 10:30 a.m. on September 11, 2001.

And it doesn't matter if you weren't there, too little to remember or not even born yet, this day, this piece of history, changed the world forever. It changed YOUR world forever.

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

May God watch over and bless the United States of America 🇺🇸

*COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE FIRE-AUTOMATIC AID*

On 9/3/26 at approximately 0520 Hours, a fire was reported inside a city warehouse building in the 500 Block of IH 45 N, South of Moffett Springs Rd and the East Feeder.
Engine 41, 4002-Asst. Chief and Utility 41 responded to this box alarm assignment.
Upon arrival, crews joined Huntsville Firefighters in battling a rather large trash pile that was on fire inside the bays of this city recycling facility. Crews encountered biohazard items and lithium batteries capable of producing toxic smoke, among other discarded items burning.
Within an hour, the fire was extinguished and CPVFD crews were released to return to quarters, this way our volunteers could change out with today’s duty crew and head off to their full time jobs.
