Our park’s Disc Golf Course is feeling fancy thanks to Vigor Concrete Solutions and Moon Concrete Services! Joseph Herman along with volunteers and company workers spent countless hours planning and revamping Teepad #9 on the course and it is looking better than ever. Thank you to those who donated their time and energy to making a quality teepad for our park visitors!

Grab your favorite discs, invite a friend, and swing on by Monte Sano State Park for a round of Disc Golf! Don’t forget a selfie on the new teepad!

If you spot a little fawn while visiting Monte Sano State Park, consider yourself lucky!

Please don’t approach, touch, feed, or try to “rescue” a fawn. Mom is usually nearby, even if you don’t see her.

Give wildlife plenty of space and keep your distance. Your quiet observation helps keep them safe, healthy, and wild.

Thank you for helping us protect the wildlife that makes Monte Sano such a special place to visit!

Recently at Monte Sano State Park, our Education Team led an inspiring professional development workshop!

Teachers had the chance to discover Alabama State Parks as an outdoor classroom while building fairy houses, searching for Macroinvertebrates, and utilizing loupes and Private Eyes to examine the small details in nature that make the biggest difference! Alabama truly is an incredible state!

Thank you to the educators who joined us, to Maggie Johnston for guest leading, and to the Caring Foundation of Blue Cross Blue Shield for making this workshop (and others across the state) possible!

If you want to learn more or book a field trip to Monte Sano State Park, contact the District Naturalist for more information.
