As we wrap up the 2026 Hyundai Air and Sea Show this Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember and honor the true meaning behind the holiday. 🇺🇸

The Miami Recruiting Battalion, alongside the Mission Support Battalion, Aviation Center of Excellence, 75th Ranger Regiment, 7th Special Forces Group, 478th Civil Affairs Battalion, Army Marksmanship Unit, and the Warrior Fitness Team, was humbled to be out in full force to connect with the community we serve.

From grinding through the MURPH Challenge in memory of our fallen heroes, to welcoming our newest Future Soldiers as they took their oath of enlistment, it was a weekend defined by dedication, strength, and deep patriotism.

Thank you, Miami, for your incredible support and for standing with us to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation. Their legacy lives on in the next generation.

ICYMI - What an incredible few days at Fort Carson, CO! 🏔️ We wrapped up the 2nd Brigade Educators Tour (May 5-8, 2026), and it was a massive success!

It was an absolute honor to host such a fantastic group of educators from Raleigh, Montgomery, Miami, Jacksonville, Columbia, and Tampa. Over the course of the tour, they received a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the U.S. Army and the incredible opportunities available to our future leaders.

From immersive, hands-on experiences to engaging with our phenomenal Soldiers, these educators got to see firsthand what it means to serve and lead. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event unforgettable!

Today, the 2d Recruiting Brigade leadership officially signed the 2026 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) Proclamation at Redstone Arsenal.

Col. Matt Upperman and Sgt. Maj. Chris Holder joined leaders from the Brigade to reaffirm our commitment to a culture of mutual respect and trust. Sexual assault and harassment have no place in our ranks—they undermine the very cohesion that makes us strong.

This year’s theme, "Step Forward. Prevent. Report. Advocate," is more than a slogan—it is a call to action. We encourage every Soldier, civilian, and family member to cultivate an environment where survivors are supported and accountability is the standard.

Together, we can ensure our community remains safe, professional, and mission-ready.
