CMIT held the Effective Courtroom Testimony program on May 28, 2026 in Huntsville, TX. This year's session was taught by District Judge Tracy Sorensen. She brought humor, reality, and a wealth of information from her years as both a defense attorney and now a judge. Our participants left feeling well equipped if they were to ever be called to testify. Judge Sorensen's presentation as well as the question-and-answer session were very informative for everyone. CMIT hopes to offer this program in the spring and fall each year.

CMIT held an outstanding Courtroom Security program on May 27, 2026 in Huntsville, TX. Our speakers, Keith Conley and Nick Barsetti, traveled from the Office of Court Security in Austin to present an informative and engaging course covering all aspects of courtroom security, as well as courthouse security in general. Mr. Conley is a retired U.S. Marshal, and Mr. Barsetti has extensive training and experience in courtroom security.

It had been 10 years since CMIT last offered this course, and it was very well received. Participants gave rave reviews of the presentation, and we hope to make this program an annual offering.
