🪵 The Sloyd Bus is Back at the Library Today! 🪵

We’re excited to announce that today’s Sloyd Bus program is completely full! 🎉 We love seeing so much interest in hands-on learning opportunities for our youth.

Last week, we had another successful visit from the Sloyd Bus. A huge thank you to Karl from Saint Maud’s for bringing this unique experience to the library! The kids had a great time learning to carve wood while making their own butter dishes and knives. What a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, be creative, and take home something they made themselves!

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers for bringing the kids to spend a couple of hours with us. ❤️

A special thank you to the Friends of the Hurley Public Library for raising the funds to make this program possible, and to the Wisconsin Arts Board (WAB) for providing a 50% grant match that helps us continue bringing quality arts programs to our community.

📚 Thank You! 🍬

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Hurley Public Library table at the Hurley School Open House yesterday! We had a great time seeing everyone.

Congratulations to our winners! The winners of the book and candy guessing games have been contacted. 🎉

And, just for curiosity’s sake…
📖 There are 352 words in the book!
🍬 There are 68 Hi-Chews in the container… (at least there were! The winner picked up the container and was contemplating where to begin! 😂)

Sloyd Bus Update! 🚌

The Sloyd Bus will be at the Hurley Public Library today at 3:00 PM, and we have a few cancellations, which means we have some spots available!

If you know someone who would be interested, please stop by the Library or call 715-561-5707 to sign them up.

🎉Are you interested in learning American Mahjong? Join us at the library on Mondays, September 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th from 1-4 pm for a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to the game! All skill levels are welcome!
