We are very blessed to have so many talented and creative people in our community. I attended the Arts in the Micro-Communities event last week in Land O’ Lakes and recognized 8 other people from our small community.

Hurley Public Library is proud to support local artists and art education — and honestly, it’s just so much fun! Be sure to check out our library art programs and the news report from the event.

Proud mom moment: there’s a small clip with my high school daughter sharing with the group what the Hurley Library does for our art programs. It was wonderful to see her have the courage to speak up and represent our community.

On Tuesday the Wisconsin Arts Board held an event to provide resources for Wisconsin's micro-communities.

Are you interested in learning American Mahjong? Join us at the library on Mondays, June 1st, 8th, & 15th from 1-4pm for a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to the game! Come learn the tiles, rules, and strategies and discover why Mahjong has become such a popular pastime!

A big thank you to Brandee Benson for bringing another amazing faux stained glass project to the library! Everyone always has such a wonderful time getting creative and learning something new during your classes.
