The officers and members would like to recognize two of our own. Chief Joe Decker and FF Michael Goins are currently biking to Washington D.C. in the Police Unity Tour. Joe and Mike are members of Chapter 1 of the Police Unity Tour based out of Florham Park N.J. and includes hundreds of members from police agencies in the North East and other countries.

The Police Unity Tour is a four day bicycle ride to Washington D.C. to raise public awareness about law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and raise money for the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.

Joe and Mike are riding for the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. They started the ride yesterday (Saturday May 9) from Florham Park, N.J. At the time of this post they are in Roebling, N.J. They are expected to arrive in Washington D.C. on Wednesday May 13 where they will join thousands of other riders from other chapters across the country.

Any words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated. We are very proud of these two and all the other riders.
