TEMPORARY WATER USE ADVISORY

Due to the sub-freezing temperatures and ICE build up around the water intake, the Erie County Water Department has issued a TEMPORARY WATER USE ADVISORY!

Please REDUCE non-essential water use to help manage the demand on the system.

Crews have been working around the clock and throughout the weekend to restore normal operations.

The water is safe for consumption and there have been no treatment issues. The issue is getting enough water into the plant due to ice build up.

Please stay tuned for more details.

The Erie County Landfill will be closed this Saturday (11/9) to finish concrete repairs. We will reopen on Monday (11/11) from 7 AM to 3 PM. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete the final repairs.

-You may observe discolored/ rusty water for a brief period today. If you experience this, do not use hot water. If possible, wait 30 minutes to an hour and then run your cold water for several minutes to see if the water clears up. If your water does not clear up, please contact our office to report your location & observations.

NOTICE: - Erie County Landfill -
An exposed flame will be observed behind the RESO facility on Hoover Rd., near Mason Rd., south of the landfill in Milan Township. The flame emitted from the flare is intentional and burns off methane generated from the landfill's waste. The flare will be operated consistently for the next month.
