HPD's National Night Out

HPD's National Night Out National Night Out is a national organization designed to enhance community interaction with law enforcement.

National Night Out focuses on crime prevention and heighten drug awareness. National Night Out is a nationwide event that happens the 1st Tuesday of August. The police department has large number of events planned for this years event. National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, in Campbell Park. There are numerous organizations participating along with busin

esses. We would encourage to come out and see what it has to offer. This program is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs. It's designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, along with sending a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Last year's National Night Out involved over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 37 million people participated in National Night Out.

Tomorrow is National Night Out. We encourage everyone to come out to Campbell Park, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
This is a great opportunity to interact with community members, see available resources and see first responder vehicles up and close.
Highlights:
- K-9 Demonstration at 6:00pm
- Donut Eating Contest at 7:00pm
- Putters & Scoops ice-cream available

- First 200 Kids, free hotdogs
