Huron Fire Department The Huron Fire Department operates 24/7/365 out of two fire stations covering the City of Huron and Huron Township.

Please join us in welcoming our two newest employees, Wade Ruggles and Parker Schafer!

Wade is a 2026 graduate of Edison High School, and EHOVE’s Fire and EMS program. He is a certified EMT-B and Level 2 Firefighter He started working shifts part-time in July, and plans to begin Paramedic Training in the Spring.

Parker is a 2026 graduate of Huron High School, and one of our previous “fifth quarter” students. He is a certified Volunteer Firefighter, and will be attending Columbus State Community College beginning this Fall.

The shifts have been busy this week completing mandatory Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVO) training.

When traveling north or south through the City please use Main Street to prevent having to turn around!
