Meet Rene, the Friends of Huron Public Library Board secretary.
Rene has been on the board for 1 year and 6 months and thinks that being on the Friends board is an ideal way to give back to the community. "Monthly hour-long meetings and occasional fundraising or social events not only give board members a sense of purpose, connection and self-worth, but also the opportunity to help make collective decisions that benefit the library offerings, programs and patrons - your family, friends, neighbors, teachers, students, civil servants, etc. It’s an ideal way to give back to your community. "
Rene thinks Dolly Parton or Oprah Winfrey would be a good spokesperson for the library. Anyone have their numbers?
